Taekwondo

Well I didnt take the camera to Taekwondo on thursday but I did manage to get a picture of everyone before we left. They are all so cute in their uniforms.

So I went to the Hobby Lobby the other day and found these words all for half price so I bought 1 of each. The check out person was going "what on earth is she going to do with all of these?" lol I filled my whole cart with them and could not be happier with them. I get tickles every time I look at them. They say everything I am constantly trying to instill into my household. I just love my hosue being filled with positive words every where!

Today we started Taekwondo as a family. Shy 1 family member till next week of course. It was fun and a decent workout. I'm told that they moved slowly for me today though. lol Silly me wore makeup and my bangs down though. I wasn't aware that beginners Taekwono created so much sweat. So next week it is "ready for workout Tamra." The kids seemed to really like it. Makenna felt like she was getting judged by those better at first, but once she let go of that she did really well. I got so much joy out of watching them learn this new thing. I think that I must have looked so silly to the other parents, because I couldn't quit smiling. I am really looking forward to Thursday. This time I will take the camera. heehee

Wick made it

Well, Wick left for his MO hunting trip on saturday night at 10:00 PM. He didnt want to hit any rush hour traffics in the big cities so he wanted to get a lot of the driving out of the way at night. You will all be glad to hear that he made it to his destination safe and sound Sunday evening. He also was able to get there without hitting any major traffic so I guess that his goal was realized. We miss him but are glad that he is able to do something that he as always wanted to do.

On to the next!!!

Here we are...in sunny El Paso, TX. We spent 7 months in Missouri and came on down to Texas. The Army does have a way of helping us get to know new places. We found a place to rent but are planning to buy a house that we have to wait to be built. More on that later. For now we are just getting by day by day in this house that is just a bit to small for us. We are renting a decent sized house but it is only 3 bedrooms. Currently Riley and Nadya are sharing the loft as a bedroom. We hung up curtains to make it feel more like a bedroom and it's not bad except that there is no door. We are also homeschooling the kids now. It has been a great decision that we are happy that we made. Well...the adults are happy, we'll let you know how the kids like it after they have had time to get used to it. lol

Wick is getting ready to go on a trip that he calls a trip of a life time. He has been invited by someone in MO to hunt on his property that hasnt been hunted in years. There a lot of deer on the property so he is really hoping to supply the family with lots of meat to stock the freezer with. We will let you all know how that goes.

We hope all is well with you all and plan on trying harder to update the site on a more regular basis.

Blackwell's in MO

This is the first of many that will come, our goal being once a week to update with photos and daily activities and cool things we just do. Also for family and primarily Grammie and Poppy Blackwell now that they have internet access.

This is our second week here in Dixon MO which is right next to St. Roberts and right outside Ft. Leonard Wood where Wick will be attending school for the next little bit. October came and went and the kids had a ball for Halloween as you can see their customs. Wick came home 1 Nov and missed the festivities, which was a bumber. Tam and the kids are settling in and the boxes are unpacked (at least the ones we want open for now). We are excited to be together again and everyone adjusting to Dad's rulings (which really is not that bad). The fleas and tics are alot worse here then NY and pose a to be a pain with our furry dog Surge. We have begun to take measures to give our dog the tic and flea free life he deserves but our yard looks like it is infested with fleas. The weather is cold here so no real change there for us coming from NY, I just hope it kills all the fleas and tics. This month and the next month we will be traveling alot with Thanksgiving in CO with the Blackwell's and Tamra's Sister Valerie and then in Dec for Christmas to AZ. We look forward to visiting family and friends, it seems like it has been forever since we have seen them.
